1.This product is an 80 g/L clodinafop‑propargyl emulsifiable concentrate (EC), belonging to the aryloxyphenoxypropionate class of selective post‑emergence herbicides. Clodinafop‑propargyl is absorbed by the leaves and translocated systemically to meristematic tissues, where it inhibits acetyl‑CoA carboxylase (ACCase), a key enzyme in fatty acid biosynthesis. This disrupts membrane formation and prevents cell division, resulting in the cessation of growth and death of susceptible grass weeds.
2.It is specifically developed for use in wheat (winter and spring wheat), barley, rye, and triticale to control a broad spectrum of annual grass weeds, including wild oats, blackgrass, foxtail, canarygrass, and barnyard grass. It is also effective against certain grass weeds resistant to other herbicide groups. Always apply according to the recommended rates within the registered and approved areas.

Key Functions
Clodinafop‑propargyl is a systemic, post‑emergence herbicide that is rapidly absorbed by the foliage of susceptible grass weeds. It is translocated via the phloem to the meristematic regions (growing points, roots, and rhizomes), where it is de‑esterified to the active acid form, clodinafop. This active metabolite irreversibly inhibits acetyl‑CoA carboxylase (ACCase), the enzyme responsible for catalyzing the first committed step in fatty acid biosynthesis. Inhibition of ACCase leads to a depletion of newly synthesized fatty acids, which are essential for membrane integrity and cuticle formation. Consequently, cell division in meristematic tissues is halted, and the weed stops growing within 1–3 days. Visible symptoms—chlorosis, reddening, and necrosis of the growing point—appear within 5–10 days, with complete plant death occurring within 2–3 weeks, depending on environmental conditions and weed species. The herbicide is highly selective to cereal crops due to their ability to rapidly metabolize the active compound to inactive conjugates.
Key Benefits
1.Highly effective post‑emergence control of a wide range of annual grass weeds in wheat, barley, rye, and triticale, including wild oats, blackgrass, foxtail, canarygrass, barnyard grass, and ryegrass—even those resistant to other herbicide classes.
2.Excellent crop safety in all major cereal varieties when applied at recommended growth stages (from 2‑leaf to tillering), with minimal risk of phytotoxicity under normal field conditions.
3.Rapid absorption and rainfastness—within 1 hour after application, ensuring reliable performance under unpredictable weather conditions.
4.Provides both contact and systemic activity, delivering consistent control even at low temperatures, making it suitable for early spring applications.
5.Emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulation offers excellent stability, easy mixing, and good tank‑mix compatibility with other herbicides, fungicides, and adjuvants, allowing flexible integrated weed management programs.
6.Favorable toxicological and environmental profile—low toxicity to mammals, birds, and beneficial insects, with rapid degradation in soil and no carry‑over issues for following crops when used as directed.
