This product is a 10% lambda-cyhalothrin wettable powder (WP) formulation, belonging to the pyrethroid class of broad-spectrum contact and stomach-action insecticides. Lambda-cyhalothrin is a Type II pyrethroid that acts primarily by modulating voltage-gated sodium channels in the insect nervous system, preventing channel closure and causing prolonged nerve depolarization, hyperexcitation, paralysis, and death. It exhibits strong contact and stomach action with rapid knockdown effect, repellent and anti-feeding properties, and long-lasting residual control.
Suitable for various crops such as cotton, rice, cereals (wheat, maize), vegetables (cabbage, tomato, eggplant, pepper, okra, etc.), fruit trees (citrus, apple, mango, grapes), tea, and ornamental plants. It is used to control a wide range of insect pests including bollworms, jassids, thrips, leafhoppers, diamondback moth, cabbage caterpillar, cutworms, armyworms, stem borers, leaf folders, and fruit borers. Please use according to the recommended dosage within the registered and approved areas.

Key Functions
Lambda-cyhalothrin is a synthetic Type II pyrethroid insecticide developed by A. R. Jutsum and colleagues in 1984 and first commercialized by ICI Agrochemicals (now Syngenta) in Central America and Southeast Asia in 1985. It is a highly active pyrethroid characterized by its broad-spectrum insecticidal activity and rapid knockdown effect. Lambda-cyhalothrin acts primarily on the insect nervous system by modulating voltage-gated sodium channels (Nav). As a Type II pyrethroid, it binds to sodium channels in neuronal membranes, preventing them from closing and causing prolonged influx of sodium ions into nerve cells. This leads to repetitive and uncontrolled firing of neurons, resulting in hyperexcitation, tremors, muscle spasms, loss of coordination, paralysis, and ultimately death of the insect. This mechanism of action is classified as IRAC Group 3A (Sodium channel modulators — Pyrethroids, Pyrethrins). Lambda-cyhalothrin exhibits strong contact and stomach action, with rapid knockdown effect (pests stop feeding and moving soon after exposure, with significant mortality within 30 minutes of application). It also possesses repellent and anti-feeding properties, causing insects to cease feeding soon after treatment, reducing direct crop damage even before mortality occurs. Lambda-cyhalothrin is a non-systemic insecticide with no systemic activity. It has low water solubility and low vapor pressure, providing good rainfastness and residual activity on treated surfaces. Lambda-cyhalothrin is highly effective against a broad spectrum of chewing pests (Lepidoptera larvae, Coleoptera beetles) and also provides moderate control of sucking pests (jassids, thrips, leafhoppers, plant hoppers). Lambda-cyhalothrin is highly toxic to aquatic organisms (fish and aquatic invertebrates) and honeybees; appropriate precautions must be taken during application to minimize non-target exposure. The repeated use of lambda-cyhalothrin and other Group 3A insecticides can lead to the development of resistance in pest populations; therefore, rotation with insecticides from different chemical groups with different modes of action is recommended as part of Insect Resistance Management (IRM) programs.
Key Benefits
1.Broad-spectrum insecticidal activity effectively controlling a wide range of agricultural and horticultural insect pests, including cotton bollworm, pink bollworm, jassids, thrips, diamondback moth, cabbage caterpillar, cutworms, armyworms, stem borers, leaf folders, leafhoppers, plant hoppers, gall midge, hispa, whorl maggot, fruit borers, and many others.
2.Wide range of application, suitable for cotton, rice, cereals (wheat, maize), vegetables (cabbage, tomato, eggplant, pepper, okra, etc.), fruit trees (citrus, apple, mango, grapes), tea, and ornamental plants.
3.Rapid knockdown effect — strong contact and stomach action causes pests to stop feeding and moving soon after exposure, with significant mortality achieved within 30 minutes of application.
4.Unique mode of action — Type II pyrethroid, IRAC Group 3A (sodium channel modulator), with no cross-resistance to organophosphates and carbamates; suitable for Insect Resistance Management (IRM) and rotation programs.
5.Long-lasting residual activity — low water solubility and low vapor pressure provide good rainfastness and extended protection on treated crops.
6.Repellent and anti-feeding properties — exposed insects cease feeding soon after treatment and are deterred from re-infesting treated areas, reducing direct crop damage even before mortality occurs.
7.High insecticidal potency — effective at low dose rates, reducing the amount of active ingredient required per hectare.
8.Wettable powder (WP) formulation — disperses readily in water, easy to measure and mix, with good stability and suitable for conventional foliar spray application.
9.Compatible with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs when used as directed, with appropriate measures to protect pollinators and aquatic organisms.
