- Overview
- Recommended Products
This product is a 20% dinotefuran water-soluble granule (SG) formulation, belonging to the third-generation neonicotinoid class (furanicotinyl subgroup) of systemic insecticides. Dinotefuran acts as an agonist of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) in the insect central nervous system, causing continuous neuronal overstimulation, leading to paralysis, cessation of feeding, and death. It exhibits contact, stomach, and systemic activity with excellent translaminar movement within plants.
Suitable for various crops such as rice, cotton, vegetables (cucumber, tomato, cabbage, etc.), fruit trees, tea, and ornamental plants. It is used to control a wide range of sucking pests including brown planthopper, white-backed planthopper, aphids, whiteflies, thrips, leafhoppers, and tea green leafhopper, as well as some chewing pests such as rice stem borers. Please use according to the recommended dosage within the registered and approved areas.

Key Functions
Dinotefuran is a third-generation neonicotinoid insecticide characterized by a unique tetrahydrofuran ring structure, which replaces the chloropyridine or chlorothiazole rings found in first- and second-generation neonicotinoids. This structural distinction confers higher insecticidal activity and a different binding mode at the target site, which may contribute to its effectiveness against pest populations resistant to conventional neonicotinoids. Dinotefuran acts as an agonist of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) in the central nervous system of insects, belonging to IRAC Group 4A. It causes continuous overstimulation of neurons, resulting in paralysis, cessation of feeding within a few hours, and death. The compound exhibits systemic action, being rapidly absorbed by roots and foliage and translocated acropetally throughout the plant. It also demonstrates contact and stomach toxicity, as well as translaminar activity. Its high water solubility favors rapid uptake and systemic distribution, and its rainfastness is approximately 3 hours. Dinotefuran does not inhibit cholinesterase and does not interfere with sodium channels, distinguishing it from organophosphates, carbamates, and pyrethroids
Key Benefits
1. Broad-spectrum insecticidal activity effectively controlling a wide range of sucking pests, including brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens), white-backed planthopper, aphids, whiteflies, thrips, leafhoppers, and tea green leafhopper, as well as certain chewing pests such as rice stem borers, sugarcane borers, and mealybugs.
2. Wide range of application, suitable for rice, cotton, vegetables (cucumber, tomato, cabbage, etc.), fruit trees, tea, and ornamental plants.
3. Excellent systemic and translaminar activity — rapidly absorbed by roots and foliage and translocated throughout the plant, providing long-lasting control of pests even on the underside of leaves or in protected feeding sites.
4. Quick knockdown effect — causes cessation of feeding within a few hours after ingestion, with rapid paralysis and death.
5. Third-generation neonicotinoid chemistry with a unique tetrahydrofuran ring structure, effective against pest populations resistant to first- and second-generation neonicotinoids, suitable for Insect Resistance Management (IRM) programs.
6.Water-soluble granule (SG) formulation — dissolves rapidly and completely in water, easy to measure and mix, with excellent stability and no dusting during handling.
7.Low toxicity to mammals, birds, and aquatic organisms; safe to crops at recommended dosages
